Location
Located in the idyllically peaceful North of Ibiza within a national park, lies the delightful 5 * hotel – Hacienda Na Xamena (HNX). Settled on the edge of a cliff, you can only image the awe-inspiring views that accompany this luxurious hotel. As every room faces the sea, every guest has the pleasure of soaking up this mesmerising view.
Rooms
For the duration of our stay, we stayed in a Double Superior room which was incredibly special – from a jacuzzi bath overlooking the balcony and said view, to bright, fresh furnishings, a shower with a window out into the room and thus the view, to a snazzy coffee machine and designer furniture. Every detail was taken into careful consideration for optimum comfort, practicality and stunning design. This concept flows through the entirety of the hotel, with grand wooden doors from Bali, chic design where a traditional Balearic vibe meets modern minimalism.
Poolside
The pool area oozes an ambiance of exclusivity – offering privacy to guests through hidden sunbeds and the views continuing through the entirety of the pool area. It is also here where we enjoyed a drink at the bar, watching the sunset melt into the sky. With uninterrupted views of the horizon, I truly believe you can’t beat this location in Ibiza for some sun(set) downers.
Spa
Whilst residing at HNX, we had the delight of experiencing the sheer tranquility of La Posidonia Cascades. The cascades are made up of a range of different temperature pools with massaging bubbles – it’s the perfect opportunity to switch off and soak up the views. Photos are prohibited in the Cascades, which means you can really indulge in the present moment which is seriously refreshing as it’s so hard to do in this world full of technology. (You may be wondering how we managed to get our photos… well we went once without phones so we could immerse ourselves fully in the experience and then again with the marketing team at the hotel to take the photos for this blog post to share with all of you).
Food
HNX own a farm in Ibiza where they grow their own fruit and vegetables – so as you can imagine, the food is incredibly fresh, high quality and packed full of flavour! The breakfast experience at HNX is like pure heaven, with views over the pool area, a plethora of perfectly presented tasty foods such as fruit, cakes, bread. There’s an option to order eggs on request so we opted for both poached eggs on toast as well as pancakes (I had to, they’re my favourite!). Nothing makes breakfast more special when a waiter comes around offering you Cava, am I right? This experience was so very special.
Service
You know that you’re going to receive exceptional service, when you’re offered a cool flannel on arrival – and from start to finish, this is the high level of service that we enjoyed whilst at HNX. Every member of staff was so caring, friendly and really went the extra mile to ensure that we had the best stay we possibly could.
Any Negatives?
The only negative that we could find about the hotel is that it is very much out of the way of everything else including shops and restaurants, so you’d need to take a taxi everywhere – but in order to enjoy such peace and tranquility as well as exceptional views, this is only to be expected.
To sum up…
Whether it be a wedding, honeymoon or a well deserved luxurious stay, you couldn’t choose a more special stay than at HNX. Throughout the whole duration of our trip, we had the most magical time at HNX, so thank you so much to all of the lovely team there! Enjoy the heart and soul of ibiza.
